AT Canvas stretchers are extremely solid and durable, for these reasons we recommend you use our assembly service. However if you decide to go ahead yourself please acknowledge the following instructions.
| Step 1 |
Locate three sides of the stretcher. Slot them together, loosely and don’t try to square up. |
| Step 2 |
Insert the tongues of the cross bars into the grooves on the outer frame. Tap down the join in the middle of the cross bars until flush and tap in the sides towards the cross bar. |
| Step 3 |
locate the 4th side of the frame and place so that the corners and cross bar/s will slot together. Tap down until flush. |
| Step 4 |
Measure one diagonal and then the other. Tap the corner of the longest measurement until the diaganls are the same. This will then be square. Place the pegs gently into the corners. |
| Step 5 |
Screw one 20 mm screw from the canvas side into the join, making sure it is flush to the wood. |
